Is Your Soul Saved?
FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.
If you are not sure you have been saved please take the time to read the following facts.
(All of these facts are derived from the Holy Bible A.V. 1611)
1. The Fact of Sin
The Bible teaches us that we were all born sinners.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23)
“As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one;” (Romans 3:10)
The Bible teaches us that we have all broken God’s laws and have rebelled against Him.
“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way…”
2. The Fact of Separation from God
The Bible teaches us that because we are sinners by birth, we are unable to be in fellowship with God.
“For the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23) This means physical and eternal death.
“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
Men are born separated from God, and as sinners are destined to remain separated from God in the lake of fire.
3. The Fact of Shed Blood
The Bible teaches us that Jesus Christ shed his blood on Calvary’s cross to pay the penalty for our sin.
“For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” (Romans 5: 6-9)
Jesus bled and died on Calvary’s cross. He was buried and three days later He arose from the dead. On Calvary he died in our place and for our sin. He is the only acceptable sacrafice the heavenly Father will acknowledge for our sins.
4. The Fact of Salvation in Jesus Christ
The Bible teaches us that to be saved we must repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for the saving of our souls.
“But as many as received him, to them gave he the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (John 1:12)
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness: and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
Dear friend, simply repent of your sins and call on Jesus to forgive you and save your soul!
